Artists: Loretta Domaszewski
Looking for the essence of the natural environment, we became sensitive to its surroundings. Nature speaks: we respond, interpret, transcend, and absorb its smells, sounds, colors, and movement. We touch its life! It is this life I wish to express.
Spending her childhood at boatyards, salt marshes and beaches in Connecticut, encouraged Loretta to become a 12-year resident of Nantucket Island. The power and beauty of nature is apparent in her artwork. Natural settings become a metaphor in Loretta's paintings. The spirit of a place is the inspiration for a deeper psychological interpretation of the journey.
Loretta has a BFA from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, and a 12-K Art Teaching Certificate from Brandeis University.
Loretta's artwork has been shown in Boston, Nantucket, Connecticut, New York City, San Francisco, New Mexico and Montana. Loretta and her husband and children reside in Bozeman, Montana.
