Artists: Tom Ferris
Tom Ferris was born and raised in New York City where he studied visual and liberal arts at the City University of New York before heading west in 1979. After working, backpacking, and living in Yellowstone National Park for several years, Tom settled in Bozeman, Montana to live an study photography more seriously. He received his B.A. in Photography from the School of Arts and Architecture, Montana State University, in 1994.
Since building his darkroom and studio in 1995, Tom has worked as an archival photographer for the Montana Historical Society. He runs his own small studio and continues to pursue his own vision of the landscape in and around Yellowstone National Park.
The images shown above are from a series of photographs taken in a Montana junkyard of various autoparts.
