Artists: John DeMott

John DeMott was raised on a racehorse farm in Southern California, which was where his storytelling through painting began. John was drawn to art in childhood and early adulthood until finally in 1992, with the encouragement of many friends in the art world, John and his family moved to the art community of Loveland, Colorado. "My career got a huge boost with the move to Colorado! It was a refreshing change...the mountains, the fresh air...all contributed to material for paintings."

DeMott specializes in recreating the spirit of the great American Frontier. Indians, cowboys, mountain men and wildlife are all subject that find their way onto John's canvases. After 24 years as a professional artist, John's work is recognized as one of the top American western painters of our time. His work can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
